Mums Mulled Wine★

My Mum’s recipe
550ml
water200g
sugar1½
cinnamon sticks3
cloves1in
Sliced root ginger1
Nutmeg1½
bottles red wine100ml
Ginger wine1
orange, sliced
Simmer syrup ingredients together for 20 mins.
Leave to cool then strain.
In pan gently heat red wine, ginger wine, orange slices and syrup.
Do not allow to boil.
